EDITORIAL INTERN (m/w/d), 032c Magazine 

032c Magazine is seeking an intern to support the editorial team for three to six months starting from September 2026. The internship is full-time, in person in the Berlin office, and compensated with a modest honorarium. It offers the opportunity for early-career writers with a high degree of initiative to make substantial contributions to 032c Magazine’s editorial direction. Prior work experience matters less than the ability to generate compelling ideas for the print and online formats of the magazine, as well as the motivation to support the periodical’s day-to-day operations. It is ideal for a recent graduate with a flexible schedule, or an undergraduate in the final semesters of study. 

Responsibilities of the internship include but are not limited to: 

  • Researching, fact-checking, and writing articles for the 032c Magazine website;
  • Copy-editing pieces to ensure consistency with the internal style guide;
  • Supporting the maintenance of the online content management system, including article upload, image formatting, and credit acknowledgment;
  • Developing advertorial concepts for the magazine’s brand partnerships; 
  • Supporting data analysis of the magazine's website;
  • Assisting the editorial team with miscellaneous daily tasks. 

The requirements for the position are: 

  • A deep knowledge of at least one area of contemporary culture (fashion, music, literature, visual art, etc.), and an enthusiasm to learn about others;
  • The ability to edit according to a style guide;
  • A strong writerly voice in the English language with a feel for grammatical nuance;
  • A motivated, polite, hard-working, and organized personality with the ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • Knowledge of content management systems (e.g. WordPress, Sanity) and/or e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify) is a major plus.

  • A resume with relevant work and academic experience;
  • A cover letter that tells us about your background, your motivation for working at 032c, and why your experience makes you a good candidate for the role; 
  • A review of no more than 500 words that you write specifically for this application and with the 032c readership in mind. The review may focus on an art exhibition, fashion line, movie, music album, or novel—more important than the subject matter is the critical appraisal of a topic of interest for our readership. We are looking for sharp, thoughtful, and precise arguments about why a cultural phenomenon should command our attention.
